And just now there was a weird segue to commercials where it was a clip of Al Gore giving a speech and the text on the screen said "ON THIS DAY IN HISTORY, Al Gore conceded defeat to George W. Bush after (bla bla a bunch of stuff). DECEMBER 13, 2000." And overtop they were playing that song by Dido, "I will go down with this ship / I will put my hands up and surrender / there will be no white flag upon my door."
